We love inspirational stories and few have moved us more than learning of Kris Silbaugh. Kris was born with just one hand, but clearly refused to let his deformity prevent him from achieving his goals. One of which was to play high school football and be a receiver! We’re sure that he was told several times that the position wasn’t right for him; however, on Friday, Silbaugh became Cambridge Springs’ all-time receiving yards leader with 915 when he caught a 43-yard touchdown catch during a 63-0 victory over Saegertown High School, also in Pennsylvania.
“It was just some sort of birth defect,” Kris said. “Nothing was wrong. It has never stopped me. I just don’t let it; never have.”
